Wishing You A Joyful Solstice Today!

I wish you the most joyful Solstice today!

The Solstices have been celebrated by our ancient ancestors from the very beginning. This is a celebration of the life-giving cycles of the sun, our star which brings all of the light & energy needed to power every living thing on Earth.

We are miraculous. The life that flows through our veins, that powers our beating hearts, that stabilizes our breath - Is a complete miracle that science still cannot fully explain.

The ancient structures in Mexico, England, Scotland, Turkey, Egypt, and many other places around the world were built thousands of years ago, to align perfectly with the sun on the Solstice Day, in honor of the astounding nature of light and its role in supporting life itself.

This particular Solstice falls at a very beautiful time as we have just celebrated the New Moon in Gemini, so the moon is waxing, making it an especially potent time to plant seeds for your future, dream into what you most deeply desire and long for, and write down your intentions for the upcoming 6 to 12 months.

I invite you to set aside sacred space to do this intention setting - Or let's call it "Deepest Heart Desire Activation" - On this beautiful Solstice day.

Love and blessings,

P.S. ~ If you'd like to learn more about the Solstice, here is a wonderful article that I wrote about it: Solstice: A Day When the Veils Are Lifted, and A Deeper Connection to Spirit Is Available to Us.

Here is an excerpt from the article:

There are four main techniques that have been found in ancient practices for marking the Solstices:

  1. Placing a picture, symbol, painting, or carving so that the sun would shine directly upon it (usually at sunrise or sunset) at the height of the Solstice, such as Newgrange in Ireland.

  2. The placement of a pillar or obelisk so that the shadow created by the object would indicate the Solstices and Equinoxes (with shadows being longer at the Winter Solstice and almost nonexistent at mid-day on the Summer Solstice). This was a practice of the Babylonians, Greeks, Chinese, Peruvians, and other cultures.

  3. In central Native American tribes, a structure would be constructed in which on the longest day of the year, the Sun shines through a hole on the ceiling directly onto a particular location, drawing, or painting on the floor.

  4. In places such as Stonehenge and ancient Egypt, the Sun precisely aligns with a specific part of a human-built structure at sunrise or sunset on the Solstice.
