Solstice Blessings And Prayers for Love & Peace
Blessed Solstice to you!
I am sending prayers for love, peace, and calm all around the world at this time.
May all the wars end; may our world leaders choose love over hate; peace over fear; and may everyone, everywhere be safe
I am traveling in Scotland currently, for the Solstice, and visiting ancient sacred sites. I'm transmitting love, light, and healing energies out to the world from these powerful, sacred locations.
I thought you might find it interesting to see a few of the places I've visited. Here are my thoughts, reflections, and a few photos ~ May they bring you peace in your heart and inspiration throughout your day!
On the Solstice, my family and I visited the sacred stone circles of Callanish. These are located on the Isle of Lewis, which is truly at the ends of the Earth, in the Outer Hebrides Islands of Scotland at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. There are four stone circles in total, and we were fortunate to get to visit and walk amidst each of them. We had such a magical Solstice day at Callanish
At Callanish, each individual stone is very unique and different from any others. The stone circles were in use by humans 4000 years ago or more - And were probably set into place long before that. It’s a mystery what these circles were used for, but they were definitely aligned with the sun, moon, and stars.
Our guide showed us the Lady In the Mountains beyond. It’s believed that certain moon, sun, and star alignments with the Lady and with the stones, were tracked and used to mark the time & seasons. It’s a truly magical, wild place with a strong positive energy that you can feel.
It’s quite remote, requiring a 2 or 3 hour ferry ride (depending on where you cross) to get to the Isle of Lewis. Which is wonderful because it’s not crowded or visited by huge numbers of people. The stones and the land hold a raw, wild energy.
I’ve wanted to come here for years, and felt beyond happy to be with the stones. We loved experiencing the Solstice light in this sacred place.
Here are a few photos of Callanish ~ I hope you'll enjoy sensing into the potent, light-filled energy streaming from this magnificent site!
The Isle of Harris (to the south of the Isle of Lewis, where Callanish is located) is wild, untamed, and mostly untouched by humans. It’s amazing to see the pure nature and breathe the super clear air here.
The Isle of Harris and Isle of Lewis are actually one landmass, but they are separated in the middle by a high mountain range, so the ancient people navigated from one side to the other by going around on boats rather than crossing the mountains. As a result, it was considered two separate islands from the beginning.
We visited Luskentyre Beach, on the western side of the Isle of Harris. There were hardly any other people there. The water was very cold, just a few degrees above freezing. Absolutely gorgeous light on the water. It felt so healing to walk on the beach and dip our feet in.
Enjoy these images of Luskentyre Beach, and the pristine nature on the Isle of Harris:
We also visited Clava Cairns, a group of stone circles near Inverness, on the northern Scottish mainland.
This mysterious site includes 3 stone circles (each with the largest, most commanding stone to the West) - And each circle is next to a large burial cairn.
The cairns are carefully constructed and have stood the test of time, having been built with stones of all different sizes & shapes that fit together - not with the exact precision of the Giza Pyramids or Sacsayhuaman - but closely enough that they form a very stable structure which has stood for at least 4000 years.
The large stone in the first circle was an inspiration for the Outlander series!
I loved the energy at Clava Cairns. It felt very calming and feminine. On the Winter Solstice each year, the cairn openings and largest stone in each circle are lit up by the Solstice sunset.
This mirrors the Solstice alignment at so many ancient megalithic sites, an honoring of the continual rebirth of the Sun every winter Solstice. Having the Solstice sun alignment connected with the burial cairns emphasizes the continual rebirth of the soul after the death of the physical form. And the eternal nature of all life.
Enjoy these photos from Clava Cairns!
I am sending you light-filled love from Northern Scotland!
